(1 Corinthians 13:12) We now know in part, but then we will have full knowledge (at the second coming of Christ).
As Christians, we believe in God even when our rationality fails us.
We must not equate our questions in life with unbelief, for we are not able to fully know everything. The truth is, we actually see our eternal future through a fog. We can see the road signs that lead us forward, but our vision is often blurry.
We are finite.
We will never know all the answers of life. On this side of eternity, we will never be able to answer all the “whys” of life. If we did have all the answers, we would be God.
The Bible does not contain all the specific answers of life and eternity, but it does contain all the essential truths that we need to know about God, his salvation in Jesus Christ, and how we are to live in faith and trust.
We will always have questions and doubts about things, but this is different than biblical unbelief. We must trust God in our finite limitations. Because at times we have questions or doubts, but this does not mean we are skeptics or unbelievers. For unbelief is the intentional rejection of the revealed truths of God, and his love for us in Jesus Christ.
We are finite believers in an infinite God, who alone holds all the answers of life and our eternity. It is in him that we put our trust.
Jesus didn't come to tell us the answers to all the questions of life, he came to be the answer. Even though our finite minds often fail us, God will never fail us.
God is the Answer!
