(1 Peter 4:8) God’s love covers over a multitude of sins.
We are Christians today because God’s love has covered our many, many sins.
In the same way, we are called to overcome the sins of others through the love of God.
When we bless others in love, we give God space to release his healing presence in their lives.
When we show love to others, his power is released.
God’s love is greater than sin!
We can’t change others, but the love of God can.
God’s love is the lifeline to those helplessly drowning in spiritual bondage.
We must not expose or shame others, even though that is often what we feel like doing.
We are called to breathe God’s life into others.
We are called to speak words of blessing and love, no matter their condition.
We are called to bless others, not curse them.
To build them up, not tear them down.
To raise them up, not push them down.
When we show God’s love to others, we can rescue them from their sin.
This does not mean we must accept the sin of others. It means we are to show others the same love God shows toward us.
The love of God is not simply a feeling; it is the saving power of God that delivers us from the bondage of our many sins.
