The overall goal of Christian living is to be filled—overflowing—with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the direct, intimate presence of God.

We can do many external religious things in our lives, but ultimately, what brings transformation is the presence of God within our hearts.

We must enter the presence of God each day; it is not optional. Otherwise, we will live only an external, static Christian life.

We must open our hearts in humility and welcome the Holy Spirit to cover us, fill us, and lead us.

We must cultivate a dynamic relationship with the Holy Spirit.

How do we do that?

It is not difficult.

In fact, we often make it far too complicated.

Just soften your heart toward God.

Have a deep thirst for God’s presence in your life.

Honesty is key.

Transparency is crucial.

Simply pray, “Come, Holy Spirit. Fill my life. Transform my heart. Fill me to overflowing.”
