(Ezekiel 37:5) These dry bones will come to life.
Ezekiel saw a vision of a valley filled with dry, dead bones.
Then God declared, “I will cause my Spirit to enter these dry bones, and they will come to life.”
God’s Spirit entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet.
These dry bones became a vast army.
Have you ever felt hopeless deep down in the center of your soul?
I have.
Have you ever hit rock bottom?
I have.
Have you ever felt like there was no escape?
I have.
Have you ever felt the circumstances of your life had become a pile of dry, dead bones?
I have.
These are the facts:
It is hard to be a fallen human.
Without God, there is no escape from the power of sin and corruption in our world.
Without God, we live in a world with no answers.
Why do we too often think otherwise?
Without God, there is no true hope.
In the end, without God, there is only death inside and out.
This is the message today: No matter how bad things feel, there is always hope.
God resurrects the dead!
No matter how spiritually dead we feel, the wind of the Spirit of God can fill us with eternal life again.
No matter how many self-destructive decisions we have made in our lives, God’s Spirit can fill us with cleansing hope again.
Our hope is in a Savior, the One who can raise us up from death.
Whenever you feel hopeless, remember: Jesus is the resurrection and the life.
Call out to our God of resurrection!
Call out to God to fill your life with the renewal of the Holy Spirit.
There is no other way.
As a fallen human, the answers of life are not found inside ourselves.
The answers of life are only found in surrendering to God, who works mysteriously.
His ways are not our ways.
He can bring life back into your life, just like he brought life back to a valley of dry, dead bones.
