(Hebrews 2:1) Do not wander away from the faith.

One of the main challenges for Christians today is that we live in a very fast-paced, modern world.

Our days are filled with noise, emails, and cell phones.

As a result, we hear biblical truth but then quickly move on with our busy lives.

Do you hear biblical truth but then easily forget i

Just think about how many Christian sermons and podcasts you have listened to but have forgotten what was said.

Hebrews 2:1 emphasizes that we must pay close attention to biblical truth; otherwise, we are in danger of drifting away from it.

Have you drifted from your relationship with God in the past and made a commitment never to do that again, only to find yourself wandering away once more?

Why?

It is because you do not allow the truth to take root in your heart and transform your character and inner life.

We hear the truth, but that does not mean it automatically becomes part of our lives.

The seeds of biblical truth are never truly planted deep in our hearts, where they can grow.

Simply hearing the truths of the Bible does not mean they will change us internally.

If we are honest, we often allow the truth to go in one ear and out the other.

We must take time to assimilate and absorb the truths about God and Christian living into our daily lives.

There are four basic elements involved in internalizing truth:

Thinking about it (meditating on it and chewing on it).

Talking about it with others (engaging in conversation).

Praying about it (asking the Holy Spirit to bring the truth we hear to life in us).

Putting it into practice (applying it to the way we live).

Implementing these four principles will help us internalize biblical truth so that our hearts are nourished and we mature spiritually.

Too many of us use our busy lives as an excuse for not growing into spiritual maturity.

Let’s do our best to digest and internalize the biblical truths we read and hear.

Truth that is internalized in our hearts is what keeps us walking on the straight path of Jesus Christ.

Are you spiritually drifting over and over again?

Do you hear biblical truth, but it doesn’t take root within you?

Many of us do.

Implement the four principles I mentioned above in your life: Think, Talk, Pray, and Obey.

Too many of us wander and drift, and soon we are back spiritually where we were two years ago.

We don’t grow, because our heart is not rooted in truth.
