(Matthew 7:7) Ask, Seek, Knock.

Jesus looked at his disciples and said, “Ask, seek, and knock.”

What was Jesus talking about?

These are action words.

They mean “keep” asking, “keep” seeking, and “keep” knocking.

Jesus is emphasizing a lifestyle of pressing into God!

Living a passive life is spiritual death.

We can’t be satisfied with just sitting back and hoping God will do something about our situations and struggles.

Jesus is talking about living a lifestyle of action.

Jesus is talking about living a lifestyle that moves God’s heart.

It is all about having focus in our lives!

We must have a desperate heart for more, much more.

We must desire more in our lives than the same routine, day in and day out.

Does your prayer life move God’s heart?

This is God’s promise: If we keep knocking, the door will be opened to us.

Jesus wants us to live in the deep waters of the kingdom of God.

We can’t be satisfied with a bland and average Christian life.

Too often, we want God’s will for our lives as long as it is not too costly or demanding and doesn’t involve change or discipline.

We want God to fit into our lifestyle instead of having a desire to fit our lives into God’s will for us.

Do you enter God’s presence with a desperate heart?

Are you willing to enter the unknown?

Are you still trying to control your life?

Are you willing to surrender and turn everything over to God’s will?

God wants us to enter the deep waters of his kingdom.

Too often, we are willing to get into the boat as long as it remains tied to the dock.

We must press into God with a heart passionate for what he wants for us.

Are you satisfied with a routine Christian life?

Or are you thirsty for much more?

Let’s live a Christian life marked by a desperate thirst for the deep waters of God!

Let’s stop being satisfied with wading in shallow spiritual waters.

Keep asking for more!

Keep seeking for more!

Keep knocking!
