(Philippians 4:8) Fill your thoughts with what is true.
Our modern world is run by media that is filled with false propaganda and misleading information.
Almost all media today is driven by government, news agencies, technology companies, and big business. Headlines are created to get clicks, not to promote truth.
If Christians do not intentionally fill our minds with biblical truth, we can easily be deceived and conformed to the worldview of this world.
We must fill our thoughts with truth!
We must read, listen to, think upon, and internalize biblical truth.
Truth is “Reality.”
Reality is how God has created us to live and perceive our world.
Filling our thoughts with truth does not simply mean memorizing Bible passages, but holistically forming our worldview—perception of true reality—according to God’s truth.
To only think and reason on partial truth will not sustain us in our journey toward spiritual maturity.
By filling our minds with truth and developing a biblical worldview, we are able to discern what is true and what is false. We develop a “mental grid” through which we are able to filter information.
We are able to assimilate biblical truth and spit out what is false.
Are you filling your thoughts with what is true and what is taught in the Bible?
Are you protecting your mind by filtering the information you hear each day?
Are you intentionally developing a mature biblical worldview?
Remember, what goes in comes out.
