(Romans 8:1) There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

When we were outside of Jesus Christ—living in rebellion, hard-hearted, and in unbelief—we lived under the eternal judgment of God.

We lived under God’s eternal condemnation.

Our inner lives were dominated and bound up by the power of sin—not just bad behavior—that enslaved our hearts and minds.

Our condemned condition was our own choice; it was not because God is mean.

However, as Romans 8:1 tells us, when we surrender and put our trust in Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit sets us free from our spiritual enslavement to sin.

Through God’s grace, we no longer live under the condemnation of eternal judgment.

We no longer have to bear the burden of continual guilt and shame.

We have been set free!

We did not set ourselves free; God did it all for us out of His love.

Those who fully surrender their lives and future to God no longer live under the heavy condition of eternal condemnation.

We will at times fall short in our Christian walk and feel conviction, but this does not mean that our eternal security in God has changed.

Satan will come along and try to convince us that God did not really “save” us.

Satan will shoot thoughts into our minds that we are not “worthy enough” to be accepted by God.

We too often condemn ourselves because we don’t “feel” like we are good enough—a form of impossible perfectionism.

In Jesus Christ—through his life, death, and resurrection—we are no longer, nor will we ever be, eternally condemned.

We have been forgiven!

We have been set free!

Believe it and live it every day!
