(Hebrews 13:8) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Christians often fall into spiritual discouragement and weakness because they misunderstand the nature and character of God.
Over time, we forget how faithful God has been to us in the past.
We begin to question His character and wonder whether we can fully trust Him with our future.
As a result, we lose the deep sense of security that can only be rooted in the faithfulness of God.
The biblical solution to renewing our spiritual strength is to revive our belief in the faithfulness of Jesus Christ.
His faithfulness never changes!
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
As 2 Timothy 2:13 tells us, If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
Even when we fail, God will never leave us or forsake us, as Hebrews 13:5 assures us.
Although our faith often fluctuates from day to day, God does not fluctuate. His eternal character is perfect and unchanging. He is absolutely the same every day.
When we pray, we never have to wonder whether God is in a good mood or a bad mood.
His love, mercy, and faithfulness do not change.
I repeat: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
This truth is our solid foundation in an ever-changing world.
When we rise each morning, it is a good practice to read Lamentations 3:22–23 aloud:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
As we remind ourselves daily of God's unchanging faithfulness, our hearts are strengthened, our fears are quieted, and our confidence in Him is renewed.
