(John 7:37) Come to me and drink.

Jesus declared in John 7:37: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”

Are you thirsty for the living water of God’s presence in your life?

Are you truly desperate for God’s presence?

I am.

There is nothing I desire more than his glorious presence.

He promises us spiritual renewal and healing.

We must come to him with a deep desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

The living presence of God, the Holy Spirit, flows without end.

The rivers of living water from God’s throne never stop flowing!

The truth is, we too often stop seeking God’s presence.

We often lose our spiritual thirst for his living water.

We too often turn to religion, entertainment, or other people for meaning in our lives.

We begin to think we can produce spiritual life from our own efforts.

We dig our own cisterns.

But human cisterns always run dry.

We need the refreshing rain from heaven!

We must have an unquenchable thirst for more of God in our lives.

We must believe that God desires to give us his presence.

We must truly desire it from the depths of our hearts.

Do you thirst for God’s presence in your life?

Or are you satisfied with going to church on Sundays?

God’s intimate presence is a gift.

Jesus calls us to come and drink.

We can’t earn his presence.

We must thirst for it!

We must ask for it!

We must cry out for it!

Surrender.

Come, Holy Spirit!

Fill us up!
