(Romans 8:26) We don’t know what to pray for.

Romans 8:26 is true.

Our lives are so full of complexities and uncertainties that we do not know what to pray for.

So many things in our lives are unclear.

Our hearts are simply empty.

We have no words to pray.

We have no inspiration to pray.

However, Paul's statement in Romans is not one of hopelessness.

He goes on to emphasize that the Holy Spirit will guide us in prayer.

If we sit in meditation long enough (a big task for some of us), the Holy Spirit will begin to move within and through us.

Suddenly, we will have a thought, a few words, an impression, and the freedom to pray.

Over the decades of following Jesus Christ, I have grown in this Spirit-led type of prayer.

I often sit alone before the Lord with confidence that the Holy Spirit will lead me to pray according to the will of God.

It is Spirit-led prayer that is effective and produces results in the kingdom of God!

As we mature in Christ, we become increasingly confident in the leading of the Holy Spirit—both in how to pray and in what to pray.

Is your prayer life connected with the mind and will of God? 

This is what Spirit-led prayer will do for you.

Christians can pray in many different ways.

Yet I encourage you to continue growing in Spirit-led prayer.

Sadly, we too often view prayer as a merely human effort.

Please, step away from the rat race and get alone with God.

Set your heart at rest.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you pray.

Then see what happens.
