(Romans 10:9) Jesus is Lord.

 When Jesus appeared to his apostles after His resurrection, Thomas declared, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28).

From that time on, to declare that Jesus is Lord was to confess that Jesus is God.

In Acts 10:36, Jesus is the “Lord of all.”

In Revelation 17:14, Jesus is the “Lord of lords.”

In Matthew 28:18, Jesus has “all authority in heaven and on earth.”

Philippians 2:9-11 tells us that at the second coming of Christ, “Every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

As Romans 10:9 says, “If we declare that Jesus is Lord, we will be saved.”

We must fully live under His active Lordship.

We must fully align our hearts and desires with His Lordship.

To truly believe in Jesus as Lord is to submit to His will and obey His guidance.

As Luke 6:46 makes clear, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?”

Jesus is Lord over all reality—both private (the individual person) and public (the entire cosmos).

He is not only Lord over our private individual lives; He is Lord over the entire universe.

Nothing exists today that is outside the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Have you totally surrendered your will to live under the Lordship of Jesus?

Do you only see Jesus hanging on a cross?

Or do you also see Him as the ruling Lion of Judah?

This is what the resurrected and exalted Lord says to us in Revelation 1:17-18: “Do not be afraid! I am the First (Alpha) and the Last (Omega)! I am the Living One! I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever! I am the One who holds the keys of Death and Hades (the realm of the dead).”

Jesus is our victorious Lord!

Do not be afraid!
